Somehow I mistyped ;)

When I googled the +기 version, I saw it used with the ㄹ ending; as in +길 바라다. But maybe the ㄹ is optional depending on the level of formality?

Thank you! I'm only starting to learn Korean grammar in any structured way; before, I basically came up with my own explanations while studying via Duolingo.

I actually really love grammar! It's just that I never put aside the time before, plus I had a hard time figuring out where to start. My approach has had the surprising benefit of giving me a more intuitive understanding of sentence structure; but actually producing sentences myself is very daunting, still.

Since German as a language has a lot of similarities to parts of the Korean grammar (especially with forming tenses, irregular verbs, verb stems+endings as conjugation, plus endings for adjectives etc., objects/subjects being slightly different (though not because of particles but instead via declination)), I generally find that part intriguing but not off-putting.

Yes, BA does have grammar courses, too! I'm probably going to pick one up in a couple of months. Right now I'm focusing on the basics. I don't think I mentioned it here, but for some reason I tested beginner level 2B when I took the Sejong Institute test. But that only tests for grammar/vocab and listening ability. I haven't had a lot of speaking or writing practice, so right now I'm focusing on learning to express myself in simple sentences.

Suggest away when something comes to mind ;) but no need to go out of your way, either.

Ah, and regarding grammar: I studied Latin and Classic Greek in high school, and then of course a little Classic Chinese to go with Mandarin in university. So sentence archeology is kind of ingrained at this point? Not to any degree of actual linguistic ability, though.

Can't say that I've retained much of what I learned, sadly... But my Chinese skills are still servicable.
